From lofts to penthouses, peek inside 10 to 15 Downtown living spaces during the upcoming Downtown STL Living Tour. This annual event, held this year on April 7, brings attendees inside a plethora of Downtown homes for design inspiration, architectural admiration and more.
“Most of the homes on the tour will be places that are actually for sale or rent right now,” says Jared Opsal, executive director of the Downtown Neighborhood Association. “That’s what makes this extra exciting is that you can imagine yourself living in the homes on the tour. There will also be a hard-hat tour of a building nearing completion, The Monogram. This new building will have a rooftop pool and other great amenities for residents.”
Even if you’re not looking to move, the historic aspect of the tour may pique your interest. “[Landmarks Association of St. Louis] will be providing tour guides who will describe the 250-plus year history of Downtown St. Louis, as well as the history of the buildings on the tour, some of which are over 100 years old,” says Opsal. And the historic theme continues with transportation; while attendees may walk from location to location, historic trolleys will also be available to shuttle guests to and from the homes.
Free parking at the 9th Street Garage is included in the $25 ticket price. The tour runs from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, with check-ins closing at 4 p.m.
“There will be everything from 3,000-square foot penthouses to efficient studio spaces on display,” Opsal says. “There are many types of homes to suit many different lifestyles.”
