Celebrate the Holiday Season in Downtown St. Louis

Photos by Jon Alexander

Spend your holiday weekend in Downtown St. Louis soaking up the last bit of holiday spirit! From the lights to the attractions, Downtown is a festive place to celebrate the season with friends and family.

Start your day Downtown with a tasty pick-me-up. Grab a hot cocoa at the Citygarden location of Kaldi’s Coffee, or a mocha if you need the caffeine fix. Next, head over to comic and gift shop Star Clipper to finish finding your stocking stuffers. Need a gift that’s more grown up? Grab a bottle for the holiday host or hostess at Copia Restaurant & Wine Garden, or check out Gallery Furniture & Home Accents for present-perfect items and cards.

Once last-minute shopping is under control, start your search for holiday decor and activities. You can head to Kiener Plaza for ice skating near the Gateway Arch or enjoy the oversized Christmas tree in front of the Old Court House. Don’t forget to stop by Citygarden at night to enjoy the ample holiday lights surrounding the artwork. Depending on the day, you can even check out one of Downtown’s final holiday events, including Lunchtime Live! At Winterfest on Dec. 22—complete with 1,000 $20 Starbucks gift cards to be passed out to the public—and the A Christmas Story Watch Party at 314 The City Bar on Dec. 24.
