Where will you ring in 2018? It can be easy to overlook making New Year’s Eve plans during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. If you find yourself still looking for an event or activity, head Downtown on Dec. 31 for a plethora of fun and festive celebrations.
Start your day with brunch and live music at Tin Roof St. Louis’ Country Brunch. Try pairing the Fruity Pebble powder-coated Buddy’s Donuts or the TR Slinger with bottomless mimosas, or—if you’re hoping to make it until midnight, coffee.
Burn off some of those brunch calories with ice skating by the Gateway Arch. The Family Friendly New Year’s Eve event in Keiner Plaza is part of Winterfest at the Arch, and will offer ice skating until 9 p.m. Looking for a place to celebrate with the kiddos? This is a great option. Elsa and Olaf will even be at the rink!
Once you’re done on the ice—and the little ones, if they were there, are dropped off with the babysitter—stop by Cielo at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis for the Oyster Shuck & Bubbles event from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Grab a cab, Uber or Lyft (or take the MetroBus 40) for a short ride to NYE Live! Presented by Fantastic Sam’s at Ballpark Village. Explore five bars during this ticketed event and enjoy party favors, drinks and, depending on ticket level, buffets. This late-night event will let you ring in the new year and stay for a few hours after if you’re hoping to start 2018 dancing.
